These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MAUVE app and related services ("MAUVE", "the Service"), operated by an independent developer based in Singapore ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using MAUVE, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use MAUVE
You must be at least 18 years old to use MAUVE.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and to use MAUVE only for lawful, personal purposes.
2. What MAUVE is — and what it is not
MAUVE is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking tool, not a financial adviser. Categories, budgets, summaries, and AI-generated suggestions are for informational and organisational purposes only. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
MAUVE does not move money, make payments, or connect to your bank accounts.
Transaction categorization is partly automated (including AI) and may be wrong — you can review and correct it, and you should verify figures that matter.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for reviewing auto-logged entries (e.g. Apple Pay or PayNow-screenshot logging).
3. Your content
The financial data and other content you enter remains yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display it back to you so the Service can function, and to send it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy (for example, transaction text sent for AI categorization). We do not claim ownership of your data and do not sell it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
break the law, or infringe others' rights, while using MAUVE;
attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or probe, scan, or breach our security;
disrupt or overload the Service, or bypass rate limits and other protections;
reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the Service or its APIs.
5. Third-party services
MAUVE relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Fly.io, Anthropic, Expo, and Apple/Google sign-in). Your use of MAUVE is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
6. Availability & changes
MAUVE is provided on an "as available" basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue the Service, at any time.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
7. Account termination
You may stop using MAUVE and delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAUVE is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information in the app, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes are subject to the courts of Singapore.
